Keimyung University taekwondo demonstration team donated ten million won to KMU. The team participated in the 2014 International Martial Arts Competition, which was held in Chungju last August. Keimyung University and Maeil Business Newspaper have developed the Training Course for Financiers to train experts in business and finance. 30 students from the College of Business in Keimyung University were provided with lectures by current workers in business. As one program of the course, a visit to an international financial hub was held from January 12 to 15 in Shanghai, China. This year Keimyung University produced 35 scholarship students, and KMU has produced 170 students since 2009.The Confucius Academy scholarship program is supported by the Ministry of Education in China and gives a chance for excellent students to learn Chinese and Chinese culture in China. KMU held a Korean language and culture camp on Seongseo Campus on August 4. The students came from Switzerland, Japan, and all around Europe.This camp held various programs for three weeks. There were Korean language classes in the morning and various Korean culture classes in the afternoon. Students put on hanbok, did taekwondo, took samulnori lessons, had lessons in K-pop dancing, and went to a jjimjilbang. The competition was held by the Korea Deposit Insurance Corporation (KDIC).
