Many students were selected as scholarship students by the Confucius Academy in China. This year Keimyung University produced 35 scholarship students, and KMU has produced 170 students since 2009.

The Confucius Academy scholarship program is supported by the Ministry of Education in China and gives a chance for excellent students to learn Chinese and Chinese culture in China. Also, scholarship students are exempt from paying tuition and boarding expenses, and the Confucius Academy provides living expenses.

Prof. Kim Ok-jun (Dept. of Political Science and Diplomacy) said, “The Confucious Academy scholarship program is one of the best chances for student to learn about China and Chinese language and culture. She added, We will make an effort to expand these scholarship benefits to more students.”
