On October 30th, the Department of Fashion Design hosted the International Fashion Show Celebrating Keimyung University’s 125th Anniversary at a special stage in front of the main building on Daemyung Campus. The event featured participation from prestigious fashion institutions, including Donghua University in China, Maranatha Christian University in Indonesia, Ueda College of Fashion in Japan, and the National Institute of Art and Design in Uzbekistan. On November 12th, Keimyung University’s archery coach Ryu Su-jeong and alumna Jang Hye-jin were awarded the Cheongnyong Medal at the 2024 Sports Development Merit Awards and the 62nd Korea Sports Awards Ceremony, hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The Cheongnyong Medal is the highest award among the five levels of sports merit awards, this year, a total of six individuals were honored, including Coach Ryu and alumna Jang in the coach and athlete categories, respectively. ● Students of the Department of Taekwondo participated in festival. On November 2nd and 3rd, the Hanmaeum Taekwondo Culture Festival was held at the Seongseo Campus Gymnasium to celebrate the 125th anniversary of Keimyung University. On the first day, the Hanmaeum Taekwondo Cultural Festival was held, with various taekwondo experience booths and the Department of Taekwondo competition. Outside the gymnasium, various food booths were set up, and souvenirs from the Department of Taekwondo were also available, attracting about 300 people.
