From July 5th to 9th, Keimyung University hosted the Daegu 2024 World University Taekwondo Festival, a prestigious GI-level event where participants could earn Olympic ranking points. Certified by the International University Sports Federation (FISU) and sanctioned by World Taekwondo. The 2024 Bridge to Keimyung Camp was held from July 9th to 27th. The camp was divided into two sessions. The first session was attended by invitees from external organizations, while the second session included students from partner institutions. These partner students came from various countries. On August 20th , Keimyung University awarded degrees to a total of 1,387 students, including 1,011 bachelor's degrees, 320 master's degrees, and 56 doctoral degrees. In addition, a special commencement ceremony was held at 11 AM at the Haengso Museum on the same day, dedicated specifically to international students. A Chimaek Garden Party, which is a chicken and beer party, held in May 17th, under the supervision of the student support team. In order to inspire the students’ sense of charm, the event, which included 600 students in 2023, expanded to 2,400 domestic and foreign students as well as alumni so that they can enjoy together. Last year, it was hosted together at the fountain in front of Dongsan Library, this time, the party is also held in front of Dongsan Library. From May 21 to 23, Keimyung University celebrated its 125th anniversary with a performance of 'Nabucco'. Held at the Keimyung Art Center, the event featured over 300 participants, including professors, alumni, and current students, highlighting the university's rich cultural and artistic foundation. The opera 'Nabucco' is set against the backdrop of the Babylonian Captivity in the 6th century BC, where Hebrews were exiled by Nabucco and lived for 70 years along the Euphrates River.
