KMU has been selected as a University Contributing to High School Education Normalization for the second year in a row. KMU will receive 680 million won. The program assesses the effect of university admissions processes on high school education and selects universities that run appropriate admissions processes for the project. KMU will screen candidates in various ways such as focusing more on students’ school records, reducing the importance of Keimyung’s entrance examination, and increasing admissions for students from low-income households and rural areas to improve admissions processes. A Chinese culture experience program was held at the 1st Student Union Building at 9 a.m. on October 8. The second Student Accountancy Competition for university students was held on July 1 at the Korean Chamber of Commerce & Industry National Qualification Exams Center. 1000 people in 125 teams from 78 different universities participated. Kang Hye-won, Kwon An-na, Kim Su-hyun, Kim Su-ho, Ro Kyung-taek, Seo Da-yeon, and Seo Sang-wook teamed up for the team competition. On July 7, Keimyung University was again selected for the ACE (Advancement of College Education) project, after being first selected in 2011. This project receives funds from the Korean Council for University Education and the Ministry of Education. The 15th KMU Open University Program was held at the Seongseo and Daemyung campuses of KMU from July 21 to 22. This program is an event for high school students to experience university life. KMU was the first to start a university experience program in Daegu and Gyeongbuk.There were about 1700 participants from 62 high schools. Most of the participants were second graders from Daegu, Ulsan, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam.
