Sarang Room is a space where students of Keimyung University's Korean Language Institute can study or relax. Sarang Room is located in Dongyeong Hall Room 315, 3rd floor of Keimyung University's Seong-seo Campus, and is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. every day.
In the Sarang Room, there is a space where you can rent and try on Han-bok and a touch screen, so you can spend time studying Korean or drawing pictures. In addition, computers are installed so that you can do assignments or search for necessary information. There are many types of board games, so you can spend time playing games with foreign students or Sarang Room supporters. You can also talk to them and study Korean, and if you have a song you want to listen to, you can listen to it by asking the supporters.
There is a rule that must be observed in the Sarang Room. First, you must use Korean unconditionally in the Sarang Room. If you need help or want to use a board game, you should ask supporters for help. If you use a board game, you must clean it up, and the computers placed in the Sarang Room are only available when doing assignments or searching.
In addition to running Sarang Room, the Korean Language Institute is holding various events for international students. These include a Korean singing competition and an athletic competition. Korean Language Institute holds a Korean Singing Contest every year. Students choose a K-pop song they like, prepare for the stage and show up their Korean language skills and talent. Also, they hold a sports competition for international students to recharge their bodies and minds. This is for students to united and feel closer each other through various games and sports activities.
