On March 6, the Keimyung student council announced their stance against North Korean refugees’ compulsory repatriation by the Chinese government, and started to gather signatures to stop the compulsory repatriation.The student council showed concern about the freedom and human rights of the refugees, and urged a stop to the compulsory repatriation. Also, they urged the Korean government, civic groups, and student organizations to take part in this movement. On the first day of gathering signatures, 750 people, including not only students but also faculty members, signed in front of Bauer hall.
