Keimyung University and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade sponsored the Korea-Italy Forum in KMU on May 15.
Synn Il-hi, KMU president, Kim Woo-sang, the minister of foreign affairs and trade, Staffan De Mistura, Italian undersecretary of foreign affairs, and Sergio Mercuri, the Italian ambassador to Korea, attended this forum. They discussed a new relationship in economics, cultural exchange, education, social welfare, and industrial technology.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade was to sponsor this forum alone. However, the ministry selected universities like Seoul National University, Yonsei University, Korea University, and Keimyung University for the open forum with the ministry. However, only KMU was selected to sponsor this forum.
Synn Il-hi, the KMU president, said, “This forum will be the starting point for a new cooperative relationship between Korea and Italy.”
