Keimyung University got many prizes including the first prize in female board breaking in the 2011 World Taekwondo Hanmadang. The Leaders team, Department of Media and Information, won the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family prize of 1,500,000 won in the Korea Youth UCC (User Created Contents) Camp which was held for the Daegu World Athletics Championships. This event included programs such as making Daegu maps, a green tour, and a youth club festival. Young people from all over the country made images of Daegu heritage sites and tourist spots in Daegu.
