The Creative School, run by Keimyung University's Industrial-Academic Human Resources Institute, taught 28 students from Gachang Middle School from January 22 to 26. The camp ran seven hours a day with the aim to have students perform in musicals. The creative school is a program aimed at developing and fostering creative skills with market-oriented education through the exploration of creative ideas and fostering the production capabilities of local youths. Keimyung University is offering a free concert hall inside the main building on Daemyung campus from the end of August until the end of December this year for the development of local culture and arts and the expansion of local residents' living culture. The hall was prepared by Keimyung University's Industrial-Academic Human Resources and Daegu Foundation and it is expected help expand opportunities for entertainment of performance culture for local residents, as well as promote the Daemyung Performing Arts Street. Many university students are interested in finding a job. The KMU Job Center arranged a festival to try to encourage student that are applying for jobs. The festival title was the ‘2019 Youth Employment Policy Chicken and Beer Festival, and it was held in Daegu at the 2.28 Anniversary Central Park on June 28. About 1200 students participated, and there were 15 booths such as a policy booth, experience booths, and counselling booth. A special exhibition celebrating the 120th anniversary of Keimyung University was held from May 20 until July 31at Hengso Museum. The title of the exhibition was ‘We Are the Champions’ and was held on the 1st floor.
