The Writing Center held the Tabula Rasa Seminar on September 15, 2017. This seminar was a lecture for author, professor, that study and analyze eastern and western classics and modern masterpieces in order to teach students. KMU granted an honorary Doctorate in Public Administration Science to Bakhodir Khodiev, the president of Tashkent University of Economics, at the international seminar room on November 7. President Khodiev is an educational reformer in Uzbekistan who has helped arrange the national education standards to turn international advancement education standards into the internal traits of expert training in Uzbekistan. Keimyung University held the Management Innovation Forum for East Asia on October 27th of this year. It was held at the College of Business Administration and was hosted by K-NICE, a College of Business Administration center for fostering management expertise in the Middle East and the East Asia region. The forum was organized under the main topic of Exchange and Cooperation Strategy for Youth Entrepreneurship. KMU held the 121st Keimyung Women’s Studies Seminar in Uiyang Hall on November 21st, 2017. The seminar was hosted by the Graduate School of Policy and The Institute for Women's Studies. The topic of the women’s studies seminar is a human understanding of philosophical counseling for female client-centered therapy. Old bible exhibition was held from October 30th to November 10th at Dongsan library archives the 7th floor. KMU held this exhibition that was one of the events celebrating quincentenary of the Reformation. Dongsan library exhibited 30 rare bibles and books about the Reformation. For exampe, including domestic data of 'the New Testament', 'Jesus Mission Testament', there were inaccessible data of 'Italian Bible', 'Luther German Bible' published overseas. To celebrate Jane Austen, a celebrated author who is as popular as Shakespeare despite only publishing 8 works, a lecture was offered on October 24th. Professor Yeong-sun Won from Seoul Woman’s University gave a lecture on Jane Austen’s introduction to love affairs through her literature, Pride and prejudice. Also, through a Q&A session, she resolved misunderstandings about Jane Austen. The lecture was hosted by the Core project team and the Department of English Language and Literature to mark the 200th anniversary of her death.
