The Comparative Course Program Designing Contest was held in the first semester of 2022. The contest was held for undergraduate students at Keimyung University, and the first application period was from April 27th to May 10th. On Wednesday, May 4th the KMU International Lounge held the first Movie Day in years. A Movie Day is an event held by the KMU International Lounge where the students can watch movies from different countries and learn about that country’s culture. A few days before the event, the International Lounge asked visitors to write down the movies that they want to watch on a whiteboard, and the chosen movie was Deadpool. The opening ceremony for Keimyung University's general organization and the welcoming concert for freshmen were held on April 28, 2022 at the Seong-seo Campus. The welcome concert for freshmen was organized by CALLA the KMU student council. Although many aspects were restricted due to COVID-19, it was the first event held at the schools as national distancing rules eased. Although the social-distance rules were eased, there were restrictions on the operation of designated seats by the university, mandatory wearing of masks, and body temperature measurement before admission. The Keimyung University Cross-Cultural Awareness Programme (KMU-CCAP) is a programmes held by the Center for International Affairs. The Center for International Affairs set up several groups consisting of a Cultural Exchange Volunteer (CEV) and a Korean Interpretation Volunteer (KIV) to send to schools throughout Daegu. The CEV groups consist of foreign students, Mostly Exchange Students. Each group prepares 1-hour lecture about the country that the CEV’s members are from in English or the CEV’s member’s native language such as German or French. The Nawruz Festival, which means a "new day", is a traditional festival held in Central Asia to commemorate the beginning of spring and the beginning of the year. To celebrate the season, KMU held the ‘2022 Nawruz Festival’ on March 21st in the Seong-seo campus.
