Keimyung University plans to change the Department of Architecture into the College of Architectural Studies next year. The College of Architectural Studies' curriculum will range from environmental and integrated studies to interior design and construction, city, and landscape architecture. The I-zoa team in the Department of Early Childhood Education won the first prize at the Chuncheon Puppet Festival 2009. The theme of the puppet play was about love for Dokdo. Thirty teams including university students and the general public participated in the contest. The judges felt that I-zoa's play Maegi Maegi Gold Island was excellent in its creative stories and in delivering good lessons. They were awarded a medal and one million won prize money.
