Dept. of Early Childhood Education Wins First Prize

The I-zoa team in the Department of Early Childhood Education won the first prize at the Chuncheon Puppet Festival 2009. The theme of the puppet play was about love for Dokdo. Thirty teams including university students and the general public participated in the contest. The judges felt that I-zoa's play Maegi Maegi Gold Island was excellent in its creative stories and in delivering good lessons. They were awarded a medal and one million won prize money.

I-zoa made this play by themselves from the script, puppets, and props to the sound effects. This play calls attention to the historical worth Dokdo has and asks for continuous concern and love toward Dokdo.

I-zoa is a puppet club made up of the students of the Department of Early Childhood Education. Receiving much recognition through winning many prizes from national puppet play contests and festivals, they have been producing active works in invitation performances at kindergartens and Children's Day puppet performances.
