In January 2008, Dongsan Medical Center concluded a medical tourist business agreement with Daegu City to bring people from overseas by advertising Dongsan Medical Center’s good treatment such as reasonable prices and good quality services and Daegu City’s attractions. The 2008 Keimyung Marathon, sponsored by the General Student Council, was successfully held on April 30. On May 2, the College of Music and Performing Arts held a dedication ceremony for Haedam Concert Hall at 11 a.m. at Seongseo Campus. In commemoration of the 27th Teacher’s day, most colleges held events and athletic meetings with teachers and students. The Department of Korean Language and Literature had an event called “Eating rice under the same roof” and reflected on the meaning of Teacher’s Day. From April 28 to May 2, the 35th National Individual Taekwondo Competition for University Students was held at the Jecheon Sports Center, Chungcheongbuk-do.
