The 2008 Daegu International Youth Festival was held under the auspices of the Office of International Affairs from August 12 to 18 in Keimyung University, Daegu City, and Gyeongsangbuk-do. In this festival, 113 students participated: thirty students from Keimyung University and eighty three foreign students from ten countries with cities affiliated as sister-cities to Daegu City. Starting from the opening ceremony, held on August 12, various programs like a campus tour, lectures on the Korean language, a field trip to Donghwasa, samulnori, and meetings with home stay families took place.
