★ Freshmen ★․ Lim Seok-bin․ Freshman․ Dept. of Police Law Hi everyone! I’m Lim Seok-bin. I’m a freshman in the Dept. of Police Law. I had a dream to be a police officer. However, it changed as I grew up. I also wanted to study physical therapy. I agonized between the Dept. of Physical Therapy and the Dept. of Police Law. Finally, I couldn’t give up my childhood dream and I decided on the latter. University is the turning point of my life and at the same time a starting point to me. Although I am in the low rank at first, I hope to step up from low to high. I will do my best.

The Gazette gave me courageHello! Nice to meet you. I’m Bae Hyun-na. This year I will be a sophomore and I am majoring in American Studies at Keimyung University. Through this corner, I will share my experiences with you. Initially, if I heard about an English newspaper from someone, I just felt that English newspapers are very hard and they give me a headache. The reason for reading an English newspaper is just for my studying with an English dictionary. In fact, I knew there were English newspapers in Keimyung University, but I never considered reading them. One day, a friend suggested, "Rea

New discovery for me, the GazetteHi, I’m glad to meet you through this newspaper. I’m Yoon Kyung-hwan, a sophomore majoring in Police administration at this university. I’m just one of the students who lead an ordinary student life. Anyway, I’m happy to participate in this section as a reader. In fact, I stumbled upon the newspaper, the Gazette, just a few weeks ago. Before then, I didn’t know that there is an English newspaper at Keimyung. I think there are many students who do not know about the Gazette, like me. What a pity! After I read the Gazette once, I felt it’s worth taking the time to

The Gazette which satisfy my desires!Glad to meet you, Gazette! I'm Huh Da-young, a freshman majoring in International Commerce at Keimyung university.Frankly, I held a prejudice towards the Gazette in that I expected it to be very difficult. So at the beginning of my first semester, when I saw the newsstand which displayed the English newspaper, The Keimyung Gazette, I passed by.However, one day, while waiting for my friend, I was very bored. I picked up the Gazette and looked over it. I did not read any articles, but I looked at the pictures. I searched for the most colorful and sensible pic

Pride and Prejudice A few years ago there was a movie titled ‘Pride and Prejudice.’ It was a love story. During the movie, two people misunderstood each other because of their prejudices. However, after learning to swallow their pride and remove their prejudice, they find true love at last. How many chances are we missing in life because of meaningless pride and prejudice? There must be a lot. Many KMU students, including me, have prejudice toward the Gazette in that the newspaper must be very difficult because it is written in English. KMU students are generally not familiar with English news

The Keimyung Gazette is so nice!Hello. My name is Ahn Hae-soo. I am a 2nd year undergraduate student majoring in police administration at Keimyung Univerisity. As the Keimyung Gazette – the English language newspaper from Keimyung University - includes meaningful and various kinds of information, I have been enjoying reading it. The language, English, seems to be a must these days when it is the most commonly used language in the world. That’s why we should be exposed to an English-language environment. Through the Keimyung Gazette, I can get the latest school news, and various, meaningf

The Greatest Gazette We, students of Keimyung University, read university newspapers to get some news about our school. Campus newspapers put a lot of information and the latest school news and help students and faculty members locate information easily and quickly. Hence, campus newspapers are one of the most important materials for students here. Moreover, the number of foreign students has been increasing greatly nowadays. For foreign exchange students, the only English newspaper in Keimyung - the Keimyung Gazette , provides useful information and tips on life in Keimyung and Korea. The Gaz

I think university is a turning point in one's life. I feel happy to start my university life full of expectations and the feeling of freedom from the oppressive days of high school. In the meantime, I am worrying about the tuition fee my parents have to pay. As I feel sorry for them, I want to study hard to get a scholarship and make my parents happy. Among the complicated feelings, the surest thing to me right now
