On April 27, an event was held to celebrate World Book and Copyright Day on the first floor of Dongsan Library. This event gave a red rose to anyone who returned 115 books from KMU's education collection to the library by using the auto book lending machine. Additionally, there was a quiz about the Dongsan Library and a lottery for some prizes. On April 1, Keimyung University (KMU) hosted a tree planting event to celebrate Arbor Day. This Arbor Day celebration was held in KMU’s Dongyoung Forest in Chilgok. The event attendees removed dead trees, planted valuable research trees such as white birch, hinoki cypress and oriental raisin tree and learned about their medicinal uses. The writer Ryu Kwang-hyun has traveled to 31 countries and listened to the stories of Korean CEOs who have lived in foreign countries. The Global Innovation Challenge workshop by KMU’s Industry Academic Cooperation Foundation was held at Myunggyo Dormitory on January 29.
