On July 24, the 2nd Woo Bong Music Competition was held at Woo Bong Art Hall, and 3 Keimyung University students won prizes in the piano competition. Dongsan Medical Center of Keimyung University contributed medicine and medical supplies worth 3 million dollars to Kyrgyzstan.On June 30, medicine was sent along with 1,500 million won which Daegu-Gyeongbuk International Exchange Association had raised for malnourished children. As there are many casualties and refugees due to a pro-democracy movement in Kyrgyzstan, it was decided to deliver medicine and medical supplies as a form of relief. On May 20, the 56th anniversary of the foundation of Keimyung University was held in Adams Chapel. Many people attended the ceremony, including our president Synn Il-hi, celebrities, and congratulators. The schedule consisted of prize-giving, an opening address by our president, a performance by an ensemble, and a performance by a choir. 76 people received awards. President Synn asked that we strive to help Keimyung University develop. The ceremony began at 11:00am and continued for an hour.
