The Keimyung University Taekwondo Performance Team won second place in the Senior Taekwondo Gymnastic Competition, at the 2017 Anyang World Taekwondo Hanmadang. This festival was held between July 29th and August 1st with 64 countries and 5732 athletes. The Taekwondo Gymnastic Competition was held on the 31st.The team which consisted of Gayeon Gang and 8 other members was considered as a rising star of this competition. The Keimyung University Judo team won gold in the team event at the 2017 Summer National Men’s and Women’s University Judo Championship which ended at Inje Gymnasium in Gangwon-do on July 14th. This means that the KMU team got the championship flag back after three years. Also, a coach, Bae Jin-beom and an athlete, Lee Hong-joo from the Keimyung University Judo team won the best coach and the most valuable player award (MVP). Furthermore, Lee Hong-joo got the bronze medal in the individual event under-81kg division.
‘The Korea Textile Design Contest’ was held at the Korea Design Center on July 27. This contest was held to encourage the importance of textile design and to discover talented people within the field. This contest is divided into printing and woven, knit, and embroidery, and the usage of art is interior, apparel, and accessory.
