  • A National Cultural Property in Dongsan Library

    Keimyung University revealed that the Korean poem 'Sinpyeon Yuchwi Daedong Sirim' will be designated as a National Cultural Property the Cultural Heritage Administration on April 29, 2019. It was written by 'Ryu Huiryeong' during the mid-Joseon period and consisted of seventy Korean poems. He wrote it for the purpose of collecting the entire Korean poems of that time. The scope of the poems was expanded from the Three Kingdoms period to the Joseon Dynasty, and the recognized authors were diversified, including even the monks of that time.   • Keimyung University Daemyung Campus Festival

    A festival for The College of Fine Arts and Artech College was held at Daemyung Campus May 14-15, 2019. The theme of this festival was that of a retro concept. The festival made old-fashioned style promotional posters and videos, and many students attended the event in retro costumes such as double denim fashion in line with the theme of retro.     Recently, large forest fires broke out in many areas, including Gangwon Province and Busan.   • Nabucco, as the 120th Anniversary Musical of Keimyung

    The musical, ‘Nabucco’, by the Italian composer G. Verdi was performed at the Keimyung Art Center May 20- 22, 2019. This musical is an adaptation of the biblical story of King Nebuchadnezzar II of Babylon. The third act, "The Chorus of Hebrew Slaves," is considered a masterpiece that will remain significant in the history of music. Keimyung University Hosts International Fashion Show Celebrating 125th Anniversary On October 30th, the Department of Fashion Design hosted the International Fashion Show Celebrating Keimyung University’s 125th Anniversary at a special stage in front of the main building on Daemyung Campus. The event featured participation from prestigious fashion institutions, including Donghua University in China, Maranatha Christian University in Indonesia, Ueda College of Fashion in Japan, and the National Institute of Art and Design in Uzbekistan. French Exchange Students Cultural Adventure in Daegu On November 8th, 2024, 77 French exchange and study-abroad students participated in a unique cultural excursion in Daegu, sponsored by the DGIEA Korean-Italian Association. The day’s itinerary included a visit to Gunparkrugi Theme Park, an engaging persimmon-picking experience at Songgeum Green Rural Village, and a thrilling rail bike ride. The event provided the students with a meaningful opportunity to immerse themselves in Korea’s cultural and rural heritage while enjoying memorable outdoor activities.
