The KMU taekwondo team participated in the 2010 Polish Open International Taekwondo Championships as Korean representatives. All the members won prizes. The seven KMU representatives won four gold medals, one silver medal, and two bronze medals. About 400 athletes from Azerbaijan and many European countries participated. In addition, after the contest finished, Professor Lee Seon-jang taught taekwondo theory and practical skills at a seminar for members of the Polish national team and coaches and some other European countries’ taekwondo coaches.
On October 26, the first Model International Peace Conference for peace on the Korean peninsula was held in New Bauer Hall multimedia room. On August 23, Keimyung University held a dedication ceremony for the new Hyeopryeok Hall in Myunggyo Dormitory. Construction took approximately two years from August 1, 2008, to July 31, 2010. This building is located in the middle between Justice Hall and Hope Building. Hyeopryeok Hall is a building with one story below and ten above the ground. The reason for constructing the building is to extend the living space for exchange students.2,110 students will be accommodated in the new hall.
