  • Keimyung University Students Do Fieldwork at The Qualcomm Institute

    Five students from Keimyung University were dispatched to a field training program at Qualcomm Institute, a world-renowned communication chip manufacturer. The Qualcomm Institute is a research and business support organization founded by the state of California and located on the campus of the University of California, San Diego. The overseas training program had been temporarily suspended due to COVID-19 but has recently resumed.   • Resettlement aid for transferred students from other city.

    Daegu Province is currently providing resettlement aids for those who came to Daegu from another city to study to lessen their financial pressure and help them to adapt well. Qualification for appliance is that one has to have their address registered in another province at least for an year and then moved in to Daegu and study in university in Daegu after Jan 1st 2022. The aid will be provided by 200,000 won every 6 month for four times, 800,000 won in total. The money is not provided by cash but points will be supplied through Daegu Happy Pay Card (대구행복페이). Keimyung University Hosts International Fashion Show Celebrating 125th Anniversary On October 30th, the Department of Fashion Design hosted the International Fashion Show Celebrating Keimyung University’s 125th Anniversary at a special stage in front of the main building on Daemyung Campus. The event featured participation from prestigious fashion institutions, including Donghua University in China, Maranatha Christian University in Indonesia, Ueda College of Fashion in Japan, and the National Institute of Art and Design in Uzbekistan. French Exchange Students Cultural Adventure in Daegu On November 8th, 2024, 77 French exchange and study-abroad students participated in a unique cultural excursion in Daegu, sponsored by the DGIEA Korean-Italian Association. The day’s itinerary included a visit to Gunparkrugi Theme Park, an engaging persimmon-picking experience at Songgeum Green Rural Village, and a thrilling rail bike ride.
