In early August, a Foreign Language Clinic Pro gram was held at the International Lounge for middle school students. The program was divided into two classes, Japanese and Chinese, and aimed to make for eign language learning easy and enjoyable. KMU stu dents served as tutors, guiding participants through various activities designed to help them engage with the languages in a fun and interactive way.
Each semester, KMU selects Buddy students to assist invited international exchange students and those participating in the semester abroad program with their transition to life in Korea and the univer sity. In celebration of its 125th anniversary, KMU hosted a special event for international alumni from July 24th to July 27th, 2024. Toegye Yi Hwang, depicted on the 1,000-won bill, is known as a scholar and philosopher of the mid-Joseon period, representing Korea as a prominent figure in Neo-Confucianism. ‘Toegye’ is Yi Hwang’s nom de plume. On January 31st, the opening ceremony of our school's Mobility Campus was held at Daegu Technopolis in Yongri, Yuga-myeon, Dalseong-gun, Daegu Metropolitan City. Following this, I met with Kim Beom-jun, the vice president of the industry-academic cooperation department, to discuss students' vision of futurity.
