On January 28, Cha Soon-do, the director of Dongsan Medical Center, along with Korea Food for the Hungry International, dispatched medical volunteers to Haiti. Director Cha and Son Eun-ik, the medical service leader, participated in the ceremony of dispatching medical volunteers to East Haiti. President Synn said, "We hope to contribute to saving Haitians through the help of this volunteer organization." Keimyung University staff donated to the fellowship fund for Keimyung’s future. Nineteen staff, including Son In-ho, the Chairman of the steering committee, delivered 105,971,000 won on behalf of 303 other staff who participated in the donation on November 2nd. This contribution money has been saved during the last year. The money is to be used for the fellowship fund and for students’ scholarships.
