Dispatching Medical Volunteers to Haiti


On January 28, Cha Soon-do, the director of Dongsan Medical Center, along with Korea Food for the Hungry International, dispatched medical volunteers to Haiti.

Director Cha and Son Eun-ik, the medical service leader, participated in the ceremony of dispatching medical volunteers to East Haiti. President Synn said, "We hope to contribute to saving Haitians through the help of this volunteer organization." The medical volunteer team consists of eight specialists in internal medicine, orthopedics, and anesthesiology, nurses, and pharmacists from Dongsan Medical Center. Eight paramedic volunteers are to provide volunteer medical services for one week, and they are going to carry various medicines, medical supplies, and appliances. They are going to concentrate on first aid, and also to treat patients in the local hospitals.

Furthermore, the staff of Dongsan Medical Center started to collect monetary contributions for Haitian victims.
