IF Design Awards Winners

KMU students Lee Ho-young (senior, Dept. of Industrial Design), Park Jung-min (senior, Dept. of Industrial Design), Park Young-woo (senior, Dept. of Industrial Design), and Park Sang-yong (senior, Dept. of Industrial Design) won the award in Concept Design at the IF Design Awards 2010 (International Forum Design Awards).

Introduced in 1953, the IF Design Awards are one of the world’s top three design awards along with Germany’s Red Dot and the United States’ IDEA (International Design Excellence Awards). This year, 5,500 projects submitted from around the world competed in IF as well as IDEA and Red Dot. Park Jung-min and Park Sang-yong won the Universal Design Award in 2010. Park Young-woo previously won the Red Dot Design Award in the design concept field in 2009.

The award-winning work, “Water and Pill,” is a portable tube packed with water and pills, which helps people take medicine on time. The Dept. of Industrial Design has had winners for three years in a row.
