Keimyung University is planning to resurrect the tradition of displaying the Bisa Scholarship Board after twenty years’ absence. The board, made from the wood of the paulownia tree, has the carved names of each Keimyung University student who received a Bisa Scholarship since 1979.The Bisa Scholarship Board used to appear in graduation ceremonies in Keimyung University every year, following its introduction by President Synn Il-hi in 1978. On December 10, ‘Warm Wintering’, a sharing love charity bazaar for foreign students, was held in the International Education Center lobby. The bazaar was held by the labor union of the personnel of Keimyung university.From December 13-15, about 1,000 goods, including winter coats and gloves, were collected from people and then went on sale to foreign students. Proceeds from the bazaar will be used for scholarships, while the rest of the goods will be offered to foreign students for free after the bazaar is over. On November 27, Kwon Yung-ho, president of the Interburgo Group and specially appointed professor of FISEP, donated his personal land to Keimyung University.
