On March 12, a seminar on green development was held at Hengso Museum in Keimyung University. Under the sponsorship of the Daegu Green Development Forum and the Daegu Regional Environmental Technology Development Center, many specialists in the green development field, public servants, Kim Bum-il, the mayor of Daegu, President Synn Il-hi and Keimyung students participated in the seminar. Lecturers discussed many policies such as the 'Green New Deal' and 'Low Carbon, Green Growth' in making a green city.

On February 21, the popular TV drama, ‘Boys over flowers’, was filmed on Keimyung University’s campus. Although the filming was closed to the public, a large number of students waited a long time next to the location. Keimyung University received hundreds of phone calls from ‘Boys over flowers’ fans, resulting in the Keimyung administration system being paralyzed for some time. However, the university expressed great satisfaction with such a large response and the tremendous propaganda effect. Amid many orientations being held for freshmen on campus, the Department of Automotive Engineering held a preparation camp for returning students. The camp was prepared for those who have returned to campus after their military service or other personal matters. It helps returning students to supplement their basic academic scholastic ability and to easily adapt to campus life through cultural studies.
