Professor Jang Jun-ho Awarded The Ministry of Education

Keimyung University announced that Professor Jang Jun-ho from the Department of Civil Engineering was awarded the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology prize at the 13th Technological Innovation Competition.

Professor Jang cooperated with construction companies and performed multiple research projects with the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs. He has developed lots of technologies in the last 8 years so he was awarded this prize. He has received 3 patents in the United States and 5 in Korea and has 2 programs registered in Korea. Vibration isolation technology for earthquakes, which he created, is already used by the Korean government and many companies. Earthquake-resistant technology will be used on the monorail, so it has received a lot of attention.

Professor Jang said, “In the future, companies and universities need to cooperate to make what a country needs for IT. This is the only way to success in the 21st century, which changes very fast.”

Professor Jang is working actively as the Small and Medium Business Administration Performance Certification judge and on the Legislative Office's Technical Advisory Board.
