On November 8th, 2024, 77 French exchange and study-abroad students participated in a unique cultural excursion in Daegu, sponsored by the DGIEA Korean-Italian Association. The day’s itinerary included a visit to Gunparkrugi Theme Park, an engaging persimmon-picking experience at Songgeum Green Rural Village, and a thrilling rail bike ride. The event provided the students with a meaningful opportunity to immerse themselves in Korea’s cultural and rural heritage while enjoying memorable outdoor activities.
On November 16th-17th, 30 international exchange students along with some Korean students from Keimyung University joined a cultural tour in Andong. Organized by the Korean Studies Advancement Center and supported by national and local authorities, the program showcased Korea’s cultural heritage. Participants visited Hahoe Village, Byeongsan Seowon, Buyongdae, Bongjeongsa, and Dosan Seowon. They also experienced traditional activities such as woodblock printing and exploring the Confucian Culture Museum. The tour provided a valuable opportunity to connect with Korea’s cultural history.
The Dongsan Library of Keimyung University held library training for international students. The beginner class was held on November 7th and the advanced class was held on November 12th in X-Space. The program, which was designed to support the academic activities of international students, was divided into two parts: the beginner class, which focused on how to use Korean learning materials; and the advanced class, which covered how to use domestic and international academic articles. sumin8101g@hanmail.net
