Changes to Admissions System and Registration of Students

On April 6, Keimyung University held an academic affairs conference and announced admission plans for 2010. The admissions system and registration of students were the most noticeable points.

To ensure fair judgment in selecting students, and Keimyung University is to construct a new digital admission system to raise objectivity and to minimize errors through cross-checking student data.

In addition, incoming freshmen will now be allowed to register in specific departments, rather than colleges. This is expected to increase students' feeling of attachment to their department. It is also expected to minimize excessive competition among freshmen in entering popular departments. Students can study their major from their freshmen year, and this is to promote effective learning of their majors.
