On November 13, President Synn Il-hi was appointed as the Chairman of Daegu Love Campaign. He will be involved in this capacity for the following two years. Daegu Love Campaign was founded in 1996, and now consists of 137 local communities. They encouraged the opening of fences and neighborhood love by donating money to people. They have received support money of one billion, seven hundred won from Daegu Bank.
On November 20, the first preparatory meeting for the 2009 Winter Overseas Volunteer Corps was held in Euiyang Hall at 4:30 p.m. This program is divided into three teams for Cambodia, the Philippines, and Laos. The Philippines team will leave Korea on December 28, followed by the Cambodia team on December 30 and the Laos team on January 12. The ballots were cast from 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. at the polling place in each college. On October 6, the 2009 Fujitsu Mobile Phone Design Award was held in Japan. More than two thousand works were exhibited, coming from many parts of the world. On October 29, Keimyung Consulting Group (KCG) won prizes at two separate contests. The team won first prize at the Samsung VLUU Marketing Contest for University Students and second prize at the Lanxess-Hankyung Business Presentation Contest.KCG focused on female university students and presented marketing strategies for selling cameras.
