The 47th General Student Council Election



The 47th General Student Council (GSC) and the 26th General Women’s Council (GWC) elections were held on November 19. The ballots were cast from 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. at the polling place in each college. The elections progressed with the votes for and against each GSC and GWC candidate.

The ballot counting took place in the Audio-visual room on the 4th floor of the 1st Student Union Building from 11:48 p.m. Kim Yoo-jae (junior, Department of American Studies) and Lee Kwang-min (junior, Department of Urban Engineering) were elected as GSC president and GSC vice-president respectively, gaining 6,721 votes among the total 8,168 ballots cast, while Cho Jeong-hyeon (sophomore, Department of Advanced Materials Engineering) was elected as GWC president by receiving 3,194 votes among the total 3,974 ballots cast.
