The 5th Global International Internship Congress (GIIC) was held in Keimyung University from April 17 to 20. This congress began in 1999 and is held every two years. It was held under the auspices of the University of Pittsburgh, the University of Michigan, the Daegu Ministry of Labor, and the Korea Tourism Organization.University professors, staff, and students from twenty countries attended the congress as well as representatives from multinational companies and internship agencies. The 2007 Daegu-Gyeongbuk Job Fair was held on April 18 in the Keimyung University gymnasium. The Gyeongbuk Province Government co-hosted the fair with the Daegu City Council, the Daegu Regional Ministry of Labor and Keimyung University. The 474th Thursday Evening Philosophy Seminar entitled “Discourse,” held on April 5 in room 354 of Youngam Hall, was the first of four special discourse lectures. The Graduate School of Business (GSB) will begin an English-only Global Masters of Business Administration (GMBA) this fall semester. A presentation about the new course was given in the multi-media room in the annex of Bauer Hall on April 3 and 4. The GMBA program requires a two-year full-time commitment. In order to graduate, students must complete 45 credit hours. There are 10 core courses and 5 elective courses. The 59th Keimyung Business Lecture was held on April 3 in Euiyang Hall. The lecture series began in 1998. Several lectures are held for Department of Business Administration students each semester. The 59th lecture was given by Lee Gyu-jin, the financial manager of the E.LAND Group. He graduated from Keimyung University and later worked as a department's assistant.
