Twenty-five Keimyung University students got scholarships from the Chinese government. Twelve students get scholarships for one semester, eight students for one year, and five students get a scholarship to study for a master's degree .They were selected among brilliant students recommended by all of the Confucius Institutes located in various countries. ‘Healing Story’ that the Siji Geriatrics Hospital and KMU E2 volunteer group serve is getting popular. ‘Healing Story’ is a volunteer work program preformed by E2 volunteer group that serves dementia and stroke patients. Volunteers for this program are selected from contestants in the KMU K-Circle Volunteer Contest. The Opening Ceremony of the International Children's Games (ICG) was held in outdoor auditorium at Keimyung University on Friday, July 13th. About 2000 students from 80 cities in 50 countries, including Korea, USA, and China participated in ICG.The Opening Ceremony started with the entrance of Salbi, the Daegu mascot for track and field. In the world university archery competition, KMU students Jin Jae-wang, Park Sae-yan, Jang Eun-bin played an important role in this competition. There was a special lecture by Mr. Roland Joseph Davies, Director of the British Council in Korea. Mr. Davies received his master’s degree from the University of London in England. On May 22, Kim Chang Jong, a chief of the Daegu District Court gave a lecture in the audio-visual room of Hengso Museum.
