KMU hosted the Korean Language and Korean Culture camp from Monday August 8th to Friday the 26th on the Seongseo Campus. 123 students from Germany and Japan participated in the program, choosing from many classes such as Samulnori, Taekwondo, traditional crafts, and Korean traditional food. Students who participated in this camp, are not exchange students but students from KMU sister colleges who had registered for the camp in order to learn Korean culture. The Sokdowuiban team, which consisted of nine students from the Department of Mechanical Automotive Engineering, won the KSAE Baja Competition held in Gunsan Saemangeum Motor Center from August 17 to 19. The team received a championship flag, trophy, certification of merit, and about $4,000 prize money. Keimyung University Undergraduate Choi Young-yoon Interns at the UN From March to July 2011, Choi Young-yoon, an undergraduate student at Keimyung University interned at the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). Choi Young-yoon is 23 years old, and in the Keimyung Adams College (KAC) department of International Relations. She said that “the UN followed the custom that required interns to be graduate students who had studied a related major. Actually I did not have such qualifications. So I had good luck and was offered a big opportunity to work at the UN as an undergraduate.”
