Korean Cultural Experience for Foreign Undergraduates

KMU hosted the Korean Language and Korean Culture camp from Monday August 8th to Friday the 26th on the Seongseo Campus. 123 students from Germany and Japan participated in the program, choosing from many classes such as Samulnori, Taekwondo, traditional crafts, and Korean traditional food.

Students who participated in this camp, are not exchange students but students from KMU sister colleges who had registered for the camp in order to learn Korean culture. They each paid an entry fee of $1500, their flight costs and so on.

This camp consisted of intensive morning classes focused on learning the Korean language and afternoon classes focused on experiencing Korean culture like making pottery by hand, learning basic taekwondo movements, and making a traditional fan and traditional Korean food.
