KMU Specialized in Immigration and Multi-culturalism



KMU professor, Kim Hye-soon, was selected as invitation chairperson of the Ministry of Justice's immigration consultation policy committee. Prof. Kim Hye-soon said, "Considering the current situation of our country, systematic and proactive immigration policies need to be established." Through this, Keimyung University has an opportunity to strengthen its specialization in the field of immigration and multi-culturalism.

KMU has already installed a multi-cultural community center, and was selected as the ‘Active Brain Tower’ (ABT) by the Department of Justice at university. Furthermore, the center has been used in collaboration with the Department of Justice on work-related business. Also, for the first time, Keimyung University has established a Department of Sociology, Immigration and Multi-culturalism, which has been in place from 2010. Last January, KMU was selected as a second level organization in training experts about multi-cultural society, and is considered to be the leading institution in the field of immigration and multi-cultural societies.
