KMU Student Selected for 2009 Study of the U.S. Institute for Korean Undergraduate Student Leaders

On November 5, Kim Jin-myung, a senior in the Department of English Language and Literature, was selected to join the 2009 Study of the U.S. Institute for Korean Undergraduate Student Leaders. Since September, the U.S Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) has tested university students through resume submission, English screening, a telephone interview, and a final videophone interview. From next January, Kim Jin-myung will participate in a leadership program, history and culture courses, and cultural exchange for six weeks in Chicago. ECA provides a round-trip airplane ticket, board and lodging, tuition, and all other expenses. Other university students were selected: two from each of Seoul National University, Yonsei University, and Korea University; three from Busan National University; and one from each of Ehwa Womans University, Kaist, Keimyung, and five other universities.
