Busking was held on the way down from the Dongsan Library to the Shattuck Hall from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. from Monday, April 1, 2024, to Wednesday, April 3. Dance departments and band clubs BARD and Shout, dance club BEAT, and acoustic guitar club Doremi participated. There were also cotton candy for students who came to see the busking performance.
Keimyung University was selected for the 2024-2026 KF Global e-School Domestic-Overseas linkage project, opening a new way for the global spread of Korean language pedagogy and Korean studies. This project is promoted by the Korea Foundation to contribute to the development of Korean studies by expanding the number of universities offering overseas Korean studies courses and changing the field of lectures.
On March 15th, 2024, the opening ceremony of the regular Korean language course was held in the Adams Chapel Grand Worship Room. At this opening ceremony, an award for excellent results in the 2023 winter semester, organ performances, and janggu performances were also held. In addition, introductions were held by teachers of the Korean Language Institute and the administration team. It was also announced that the supporters of the International Business Center had a new name, 'With Me', at this opening ceremony.
Education on the use of Dongsan Library for foreign students will be held in the complex media reception room on the 3rd floor. Beginner courses will be held on Friday, April 5th, and advanced classes will be held on April 12th. The training includes information on facilities and services available at Dongsan Library, guidance on Korean learning materials, thesis similarity tests, and so on. After scanning the poster QR code, students can fill out the application form.
Keimyung University(KMU) said it was selected as the International Education Quality Assurance System(IEQAS), the highest grade in the educational internationalization evaluation conducted by the Ministry of Education. This is given to universities with high internationalization capabilities, expanding the attraction of international students, and enhancing the internationalization capabilities of domestic students.
Among the international lounge programs, the T-share program stands for the Technology Share program. This is a program held at Deok-raeg Hall, C-HUB CENTER, a building of the University of Technology, where foreign students can learn and exchange computer skills together. The C-HUB Center is called the second international lounge, where students can talk, relax, and do team projects and foreign and Korean students can communicate together.
The completion of 125th Anniversary Fountain was celebrated at a ceremony. The fountain was completed as part of the 125th anniversary celebration and was attended by faculty, students, and guests representing the city. The fountain will be a permanent fixture in Daemyung campus. Everyone is looking forward to our new campus story and 125th anniversary celebration as well.
Students from Sup’Biotech and Paris School of Business visited Keimyung University from January 7th to 13th. These two schools are Franch sister school of Keimyung University. During their 7 days of stay, they were able to experience many aspects of Korean culture like kimbap, hanbok, and taekwondo. Through this program, Keimyung University expects to attract international students.
