Sarang Room is a space where students of Keimyung University's Korean Language Institute can study or relax. Sarang Room is located in Dongyeong Hall Room 315, 3rd floor of Keimyung University's Seong-seo Campus, and is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. every day. In the Sarang Room, there is a space where you can rent and try on Han-bok and a touch screen, so you can spend time studying Korean or drawing pictures. Busking was held on the way down from the Dongsan Library to the Shattuck Hall from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. from Monday, April 1, 2024, to Wednesday, April 3. Dance departments and band clubs BARD and Shout, dance club BEAT, and acoustic guitar club Doremi participated. There were also cotton candy for students who came to see the busking performance.
Keimyung University was selected for the 2024-2026 KF Global e-School Domestic-Overseas linkage project, opening a new way for the global spread of Korean language pedagogy and Korean studies. This project is promoted by the Korea Foundation to contribute to the development of Korean studies by expanding the number of universities offering overseas Korean studies courses and changing the field of lectures.
On March 15th, 2024, the opening ceremony of the regular Korean language course was held in the Adams Chapel Grand Worship Room. At this opening ceremony, an award for excellent results in the 2023 winter semester, organ performances, and janggu performances were also held. In addition, introductions were held by teachers of the Korean Language Institute and the administration team. It was also announced that the supporters of the International Business Center had a new name, 'With Me', at this opening ceremony.
Education on the use of Dongsan Library for foreign students will be held in the complex media reception room on the 3rd floor. Beginner courses will be held on Friday, April 5th, and advanced classes will be held on April 12th. The training includes information on facilities and services available at Dongsan Library, guidance on Korean learning materials, thesis similarity tests, and so on. On March 16, 2024, a rural culture experience activity was held for foreign exchange students. The program was organized by the Keimyung University International Cooperation Team for the purpose of promoting local culture and understanding through experiencing rural areas and activities near Daegu for foreign students. On March 30th, Chinese alumni who graduated from Keimyung gathered at Beijing Language and Culture University for the Alumni Day event for Keimyung University's Chinese alumni.
