Keimyung University students from the Department of Taekwondo have won the Presidential Physical Fitness Award from the President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports. Construction of the new School of Medicine and College of Nursing is to restart following the completion of the outer structure in 2003. On August 1, Dongsan Medical Center set up a center of operations to facilitate construction with Professor Kwon Tae-chan of the School of Medicine as head. According to the center, new plans will be drawn up by the end of November, and actual construction will start from January 2009. The International Internship Fair was held in the multimedia room on the 3rd floor of the new Bauer Hall building on October 21. Many students who are interested in international internship programs participated in this fair. The internship program at Keimyung University is divided into two parts: international internships and domestic internships. FM Studio, one of the clubs in the Department of Fashion Marketing, is scheduled to participate in two exhibitions, Indigo Home Edition in Brussels, Belgium, from October 13 to 16 and Indigo Fashion Edition in Paris, France, from October 23 to 26. Gum Nan-se, the musical director and permanent conductor of the Euro-Asian Philharmonic Orchestra (EAPO), was appointed a Special Aide to the President of Keimyung University on September 24.
