Synn Il-hi, KMU president, visited Poland and Hungary from February 19 to 26 to develop relationships with two European universities. He first visited Jakiellonian University to finalize an exchange agreement about exchange scholarships, student exchange programs and exchanges of professors and staff. Also, President Synn visited Liszt Conservatoire in Budapest, Hungary. He discussed an activation plan for the Kodaly program and a joint degree in conservatoire. President Synn said, “I am very glad about the scholarship exchange agreement with prestigious universities in Europe.”
On March of 2017, the Keimyung University College of ARTech, Department of Video and Animation student art work began to be displayed on the Kim Gwang-seok Road’s Webtoon Corner. On February 28, KMU students won first prize and prize money of 5 million won at the 14th MTN College Student Advertising Competition held at the FKI Conference Center in Yeouido. This was the third prize for them at the competition over its 14 year history. The students chose Samik Furniture as an advertising topic, which is an unfamiliar traditional furniture company. On February 14, Keimyung University announced that the of College of Pharmacy graduates passed the 68th National Pharmacist Test this year. This the third year in a row that all of the recently graduated students passed this test.Since the College of Pharmacy opened in 2011, all of its graduates have passed the national test. There were 27 in 2015 (the first graduating class), 37 in 2016, and 34 this year which is a 100% success rate.
