On May 10, Keimyung Music Contest was held in Daemyung Campus. The contest was hosted by the Department of Music Production with the main participants of high school students. There was no limitation in music genre, for example, Rock, POP, R&B, CCM, but self-composed music was emphasized in getting additional marks. From April 1 to 13, the 46th "Jinhae Gunhang Festival," was held in Jinhae City, which is also famous for its cherry blossoms. The origin of the festival goes back to April 13, 1952, when a statue of Admiral Lee Sun-shin was erected in his memory at Bukwon Rotary.Since 1963, annual memorial ceremonies have been held to commemorate his patriotic spirit, and it has become one of the typical spring events in the Jinhae festival. On April 4, the 33rd "History Readings for College Students" seminar was held in Youngam Hall. This lecture was given by Professor Jung Chul-woong, a Chinese history scholar from Myongji University. His lecture concerned climate change throughout human history. He said the lecture's purpose was not to explain human history, but to consider natural history and draw an outline of climatic change.
