2008 Keimyung Music Contest


On May 10, Keimyung Music Contest was held in Daemyung Campus. The contest was hosted by the Department of Music Production with the main participants of high school students.
There was no limitation in music genre, for example, Rock, POP, R&B, CCM, but self-composed music was emphasized in getting additional marks. Twenty four teams, including solos, duets, and band, reached the final round, and six teams got prizes.

In addition, this event was a preliminary audition for Neganetwork, a music agency. Prize winners can get an opportunity to participate the singing audition. Best of all, the first prize winner gets the prize money of one million won and, further, if he enters the Keimyung University, the entrance fee will be paid. This year, the first prize went to ‘Muffy’ a band from Korea Art High School.

The Keimyung Music Contest is primarily held to discover student talent and special quality .However, it is also hoped that these students can help promote music activities within the university in the future.
