East Gate Parking

On March 3, the East Gate parking booth moved 20 meters into campus to solve the traffic problems of waiting for the traffic lights and entering and getting out of campus.

Jeong Jun-ho, a member of the Management Team said, "As the East Gate parking booth and the Keimyung Art Center are close, serious traffic problems were expected to happen. Most of the visitors for concerts or exhibitions in the Keimyung Art Center will use the East Gate for parking, so we had no choice but to change the location."

Fortunately, the College of Music and Performing Arts has been finished, and this has a new underground parking lot, so people who visit the Keimyung Art Center can use the underground parking lot near the East Gate. Jeong Jun-ho also added that the number of people using the new underground parking lot is low, so it is desirable for people who park near adjacent buildings to use the underground parking lot.

Guem Jang-yong, a guard at the East Gate, said that through moving the parking booth further into campus, he can have a wide view compared with before and also control the vehicles around the East Gate.

In addition, a crosswalk has been newly made at the location of the previous parking booth to allow people parking near Keimyung Art Center to go there more safely and conveniently.
