On November 29, Schuān University art troupe held a performance celebrating the relationship between Korea and China.This event featured 14 acts, including a solo dance, playing the Korean mandolin, and others. From October 22 to November 2, a Department of Photography design exhibition is being held at Keimyung University and Banwoldang subway stations. Keimyung University Employment Support Office organized the presentation and invited Kim Ki-won, from the Korean Civil Service Commission. The Silver Expedition to Mt. Everest in May celebrates the 30th anniversary of the first Korean expedition to reach the top of Mt. Everest. It consists of people who are in their sixties and seventies. Professor Kim Sang-hong, who was recently selected to join the expedition, said, "I didn't expect to be picked. I am the youngest one in the expedition, but I will do my best." Korea’s Scholastic Aptitude Test was held on November 16. Our university is holding promotional events from November 22 to December 8 in Adams Chapel for 28,818 high school students from Daegu and the Gyeongbok area. At these events, there are public relations videos, student performances, and recreational activities. These events also focus on the establishment of the Keimyung International College (KIC) starting next year; the plural degree systems (EMU and SUN); the Nu-ri projects; the specialist education programs (CISEP, FISEP, and BSEP); and scholarships for foreign language specialists.
Exchange Program Fair A campus fair to publicize the various international exchange programs was held in front of Bauer Hall and in the lobby of Dongsan Library by the Office of External Affairs and the Office of International Affairs on November 7 and 14. Between October 31 and November 2, Dongsan Library held a festival on the Sungseo campus. This festival was the 7th since the year 2000. The festival was started to celebrate the opening of the library to the general community.The main events are a book exhibition, an event of sharing books, a special movie showing, a questionnaire, and a small music concert. 18 seniors from the Department of Nursing participated in a Bethel University training course in Minnesota from June 26 to July 10. They experienced the advanced medical system through the “summer 3 program” of the Mayo Clinic, and visited several medical organizations to do on-the-spot research. Annually, about 20 Keimyung students have joined this program since 2003.
