Professor Kim Sang-hong Selected as a Silver Expedition Member


The Silver Expedition to Mt. Everest in May celebrates the 30th anniversary of the first Korean expedition to reach the top of Mt. Everest. It consists of people who are in their sixties and seventies.

Professor Kim Sang-hong, who was recently selected to join the expedition, said, "I didn't expect to be picked. I am the youngest one in the expedition, but I will do my best." He also said, "Students don't do challenging and difficult things nowadays, so I want to impart the silver generation's experience and challenging spirit onto them."

The Silver Expedition is the first expedition to Mt. Everest in the world to consist of people in their sixties and seventies.
