Korea’s Scholastic Aptitude Test was held on November 16. Our university is holding promotional events from November 22 to December 8 in Adams Chapel for 28,818 high school students from Daegu and the Gyeongbok area. At these events, there are public relations videos, student performances, and recreational activities. These events also focus on the establishment of the Keimyung International College (KIC) starting next year; the plural degree systems (EMU and SUN); the Nu-ri projects; the specialist education programs (CISEP, FISEP, and BSEP); and scholarships for foreign language specialists.
Shin Dong-ik, who is in charge of promoting our university, said, “It is more helpful to go to a university with specialized programs you are interested in than to go to a university just because it is in Seoul.” Jung Nam-wha, who attended this event from a high school, said, “The promotion of Keimyung is more helpful to students who have average and below-average scores students.” He added, “Videos and Taekwondo demonstrations are interesting, but more information related to the entrance requirements is needed.”
